Anne is married to Rev. Darren Middleton (Minister of Woodford, Pennycross and Elburton Methodist Churches); Darren also has a theatre background and is very supportive of the PAM ministry. Anne started writing children’s stories when Darren was a Padre in the Army and their daughter was little. Anne is passionate about writing stories that bring a message of hope for children tackling difficult issues. She is available for storytelling sessions for Reception, Year 1 & 2 classes in local schools, as well as groups taking place in the churches.

Anne has written many scripts and plays for theatre over the years and more recently has discovered a passion for writing poetry. During lockdown, when live theatre was unable to go ahead, Anne started producing video resources to share online, with the help of some creative friends. Anne loves to collaborate and to create new material; there is nothing more exciting, for her, than seeing an idea in her head, form into words on a page, and finally come to life on stage. She is currently very excited about her new play, Bloomin’ Church! and can’t wait to see it brought to life by a talented cast at the Devonport Playhouse in October!
